These figures describe the named versions only. Wireless refers to the beam connection; the base station still needs the correct power and opener connection. We identify your opener, beam label and opening width before selecting a replacement. PE-4V1 wired and WPE-3V1 wireless beam specifications.

AUTO LOCK and complete roller-door security

For an eligible sectional system, AUTO LOCK operates with the compatible opener when the door closes. Confirm the lock and opener version, mounting arrangement and release procedure. See the full compatibility, indicator and emergency-operation guide.

For roller-door security, Roll-A-Door Secure is the complete door-and-opener system. Do not order a sectional lock expecting it to convert any existing roller curtain.

Backup power and access

The compatible backup takes over automatically when mains power is lost. When power returns, charging resumes automatically. It is designed for occasional outage operation; charge, battery condition, temperature, door balance and load all affect the number of available cycles.

How many cycles?Usually two to four full open-and-close cycles, depending on the installation and battery condition; the available number can vary.
Initial chargingAllow up to 24 hours for maximum charge on the compatible Smart Pro, Smart and Secure system. For the compatible battery-equipped Power Drive / Roll-A-Pro configuration, allow 24–48 hours. Follow the charging time for your particular opener and kit.
Will internet control still work?Only if the hub, router, internet and mobile connection needed for that function remain available.
Does it power the whole garage?No. It powers the compatible opener system, not lights, appliances or the building supply.

What we check before fitting an accessory

Testing, maintenance and cover

Keep beam lenses and their path clear, follow model-specific tests and have recurring faults assessed. Do not bypass a safety device or increase opener force to overcome a mechanical problem. The current general warranty terms list one-year cover for AUTO LOCK, beams, battery backup, smart hubs/kits and other opener components; this is separate from the opener’s headline warranty.
