An older opener can need a very different procedure from a newer model. Our archive helps you identify the original instructions for the opener already in your garage.
Find the exact model and generation
- Check the model and version on the product label. A door’s name and an opener’s name are different identifiers.
- Match any accessory kit number and the manual’s document number before starting. Similar-looking controls can use different procedures.
- Read the full safety instructions, installation requirements and commissioning checks in the matching manual.
- If the label is missing or the controls do not match the guide, ask us to identify the product before making adjustments.
Where we list pre-2006, post-2006, V2 or V3 documents, those distinctions matter. Use the date and model information on the product and manual together. Do not apply a newer model’s coding sequence, settings or accessory wiring to an older opener.
