Maximum area and weight are separate limits and both must be met. The door must be balanced and the actual equipment/version confirmed. Peak force is not a continuous lifting allowance.

Confirm the supplied model and kit in the written quote. An integrated hub does not by itself prove that a specific beam kit is in the box. Door-mounted equipment supplied with a door package also needs to be distinguished from the opener’s own kit.

Plan for the door, rail and motor

We’ll measure both your opening and the space around it before confirming the door size. Door width includes overlap, so it differs from the clear opening you drive through. Your chosen finish, wind rating and opener also need to suit the complete installation.

Gross door weight and door area are separate limits. We also check track lift, rail travel, fixing points and the selected accessories. A heavier designer finish cannot be approved by comparing the motor’s peak force alone.

Remotes and everyday operation

Our Secure SDO-6V3, Smart SDO-7V3 and Smart Pro SDO-9V3 manual specifies two premium handheld transmitters and a wall control, with memory for up to 64 transmitters. Check the supplied kit version and use its coding instructions. Smartphone access needs the corresponding account, connectivity and protective equipment.

Understand manual release before a power cut. Follow the guide for the actual opener and lock combination; do not release or operate a damaged, unbalanced or unsupported door.

Servicing and safety checks

Use the operating guide for obstruction and beam checks, keep the opening clear and arrange a service if the door’s movement changes. Springs, lifting cables, balance adjustments and opener setup are technician work. Arrange professional servicing.

Warranty cover follows the model and application. Our eligible residential Total Confidence package requires a matching B&D door and opener purchased in the same transaction, installation by B&D or a B&D Representative, registration and the specified servicing. The time or cycle limit ends cover when either is reached first. Springs, seals, lifting cables and opener accessories have separate component terms.
