What makes a useful project brief?

  • The opening dimensions and available headroom, sideroom and travel space.
  • The supporting structure and any services close to the door or opener.
  • How often the opening will be used and the access-control requirements.
  • The finish, visibility, ventilation and security requirements.
  • Any site-specific wind or bushfire requirements and the relevant design information.

We use those details to help identify suitable products and supporting documentation. The examples above describe completed projects; a new project needs its own specification.
