Bring your colour ideas to us and compare a physical sample alongside your home’s finishes. We’ll confirm availability for your door size, profile, manufacturing location and installation, including any surcharge. Screens, lighting, timber-look patterns and weathering can affect appearance, so an exact match to another building product cannot be guaranteed.

Find the right look and layout

Our designer doors are sectional: separate panels rise vertically and travel back beneath the garage ceiling. They need clear track and opener space inside the garage. We build to the measured opening and specify the full door, finish and lifting system together.

Timber profiles and textures

Choose from all twelve Timber-Look colours on Nullarbor, or seven colours on Seville and Madrid. Timber-Look Nullarbor comes in woodgrain; Seville and Madrid offer woodgrain or smooth. Timbergrain Classic Cedar and Caoba are available across all five standard profiles. These finishes give steel the appearance of timber. Windows are excluded from Knotwood combinations.

Natural-Look layouts

Create your preferred look with a 2-panel, 3-panel, 4-panel or 25:50:25 cladding layout, or a Nullarbor Smooth finish. These describe the visual layout, rather than the number of moving door sections. Natural-Look is exclusive to Icon, with Nullarbor and Sheer constructions offering their own size limits and options. We’ll confirm the construction on your quote.

Sheer Panel layouts and construction

Our contemporary Sheer Panel range uses Alpolic aluminium composite cladding with a flush mounting arrangement. Choose a 2-panel, 3-panel, 4-panel or 25:50:25 layout. Model PFIFZ has a maximum size of 3,000 mm high × 5,500 mm wide, with double end stiles for doors over 2.5 m wide. The finish is aluminium composite, rather than glass, solid timber or stone.

Base-door features and automation

Choose your base door before selecting the finish. Panelift and Panelift Icon have different hardware, size limits and warranty cover.

Base door / collectionStandard equipment and cover
Panelift with eligible Timber-Look / Timbergrain finish10,000-cycle springs and galvanised cables; AUTO LOCK optional. Standard residential warranty: 3 years or 10,000 cycles, whichever occurs first.
Panelift Icon with eligible finish20,000-cycle springs, Smoothtrack and standard stainless steel cables; AUTO LOCK standard with a compatible system. Standard residential warranty: 5 years or 20,000 cycles, whichever occurs first.
Natural-Look and Sheer PanelPanelift Icon collections. Construction, dimensions and options vary by model; the finish does not grant another model’s size or accessory eligibility.

Icon equipment and automation

System featureWhat to expect
Icon lockingAUTO LOCK engages with a compatible opener when the door closes.
Finger protectionPinchfree profiles and enclosed components reduce pinch points; keep hands away during travel.
MovementTwin-wheel Smoothtrack, internal hinging and 20,000-cycle standard springs on Icon.
Weather and cablesIcon perimeter seals and stainless steel lifting cables.
AutomationSmart Pro is our recommendation for heavier designer doors. Its manual limit is 300 kg gross door weight and 18 m²; the door must remain balanced.
Connected controlSmart Pro includes smartphone control, Safety Beams and battery backup in the current package. Wi-Fi/mobile connectivity is needed for remote app functions.

The Icon equipment above belongs to the Icon base door. Choosing a timber-look finish on Panelift does not add Icon hardware. Explore Panelift or explore Panelift Icon.

Sizes and installation planning

Start with your favourite finish and the door it suits, then check the size. Timber-Look is available on Nullarbor, Seville and Madrid; Timbergrain Classic Cedar and Caoba span all five steel profiles. We’ll confirm that your finish, profile and installation work together within the applicable limits.

Sheer Panel PFIFZ has its own maximum of 3,000 mm high × 5,500 mm wide. Natural-Look can use the specified Nullarbor PFI1 or PFIFZ construction; the quotation must identify which one.

For clearance tables, use the selected base door: Panelift installation dimensions or Icon installation dimensions. They distinguish standard small-curve tracks from quick closers, cable-drum/bracket combinations and opener backroom. Residential sectional-door specifications — July 2025.

Make your door your own

Tell us if you’d like insulation, windows or a taper, or if your site has a bushfire requirement. Insul-Shield must be ordered with an eligible new door and cannot be retrofitted; Nullarbor Smooth is excluded. Windows have restrictions on Timber-Look and insulated doors, and designer cladding has its own options. We’ll check the complete combination before you order.

If the site needs cyclone or bushfire performance, we must specify the appropriate tested door system. A decorative finish alone does not establish a wind or BAL rating.

Care and warranty

Keep the opening clear, watch the door until it finishes moving and keep children away from the moving curtain, tracks and controls. Arrange professional attention if the door becomes heavy, noisy, uneven or damaged. Springs, cables and brackets are under load; adjustments belong with a qualified installer.

Wash exposed door surfaces and follow the owner handbook for cleaning sheltered areas. Coastal salt and industrial fallout need extra care; properties within one kilometre of a corrosive environment need specific advice. Keep running surfaces clean and follow the product instructions for lubrication rather than greasing nylon running strips. Ask us to set a maintenance schedule appropriate to use and exposure.

The selected base door determines the warranty; a timber-look finish does not automatically change a Panelift order to Icon cover.

Eligible Total Confidence package10 years or 10,000 cycles10 years or 20,000 cycles

Each period ends at the time or cycle limit, whichever occurs first. Installation, registration, servicing and component conditions below still apply.

For Total Confidence cover, purchase an eligible genuine B&D door and opener together, have both installed by a B&D Representative, register the purchase as soon as possible, and arrange the required service within 12 months and every two years thereafter. Use, care and maintenance conditions apply; adding an opener later does not automatically qualify an older door for a new ten-year warranty.

Seals, springs and lifting cables have separate one-year component cover. Opener accessories and rails also have separate terms. Keep the purchase, installation and service records. Please check your warranty for exclusions, including normal wear, damage, unsuitable use and corrosion. The warranty is additional to your applicable consumer rights.
