A history of practical improvements
We introduced the Roll-A-Door in 1956 and have continued developing the details around it. The Centre Lift Lock, Nylofelt running strips, sectional panel designs and compatible automatic controls all address everyday use in different ways.
That history matters, but your choice should still be based on the model you are buying today. A familiar brand name does not mean every door has the same hardware, operating limits or warranty.

Spring design cycles are not a lifetime promise or the same as component warranty cover. The installer checks the opening, structure, door weight, expected use and environment before confirming the configuration.
Give the opener a suitable door to operate
A residential opener must stay within its area, weight, travel and usage limits. The door needs to be balanced and move freely. A larger motor is not a repair for worn springs or damaged tracks.
Tell us if the entrance is shared or used frequently through the day. Commercial or intensive use requires an appropriate door and operator assessment. Accessories also need to match the generation: a current Smart Hub, lock or battery kit is not automatically suitable for every older opener.
Understand the warranty you are choosing
Eligible Total Confidence packages require a qualifying B&D door and opener purchased together, installation by B&D or a B&D Representative, registration and the specified servicing. The time or cycle limit applies when either is reached first. Springs, seals, cables and opener accessories have separate terms.
Flex-A-Door and the complete Roll-A-Door Secure system have their own conditions. We’ll identify the applicable cover in your quote so a general ten-year headline does not replace the details for your order.
Keep the system in good condition
Follow the operating guide’s checks and professional service schedule. Keep records and act on changes such as uneven travel, scraping, repeated reversal or a door that becomes heavy. Stop using visibly damaged equipment and leave spring, cable and force adjustments to a qualified technician.
