Bring the warmth of timber to your garage door
Timber tones can make an entrance feel warm and welcoming. Our timber-look finishes give a steel garage door that appearance, with colours and profiles to suit different homes. We’ll help you compare the current choices and find a combination that works with the materials around your garage.
Our quote form opens on our main B&D website. For a fault, use the service or repair option in this guide; charges are confirmed separately.
Choose the look without confusing the construction
A Timber-Look or Timbergrain sectional finish is not a solid-timber door. The underlying Panelift or Panelift Icon model still determines the hardware, size limits, permitted options and warranty. Likewise, Timber Coat is a finish for eligible roller models; it does not change their operating system.
If your project requires a custom solid-timber or other clad tilt door, it needs a separate assessment of the panel, frame, fittings, finished weight and supplier responsibilities. Do not use a steel timber-look specification as approval for that construction.
Compare the current sectional colours
| Range | Available colours |
|---|---|
| Timber-Look on Nullarbor, Seville and Madrid | Nordic Oak, Tassie Oak, Australian Cedar, Red Gum, Southern Cedar, Black Walnut, Black Wenge |
| Additional Timber-Look on Nullarbor | Silver Wattle, Spotted Gum, Blackbutt, Western Red Cedar, Merbau |
| Timbergrain on all five standard profiles | Classic Cedar, Caoba |
For a raised rectangular appearance, compare Statesman and Grange in the eligible Timbergrain finishes. For horizontal lines, look at Seville or Madrid. Nullarbor offers a flat-panel direction and the full twelve-colour Timber-Look selection. Texture choices and dimensions still depend on the model.
Consider a timber-look roller door
Our Timber Coat selection includes Japan Cherry, Macadamia Nutwood, Golden Oak and Hickory Nutwood. Availability depends on the roller-door family and configuration. In the current Roll-A-Door Secure range, Timber Coat is listed for double doors, so it should not be assumed available on a Secure single Neo or Deluxe door.
We’ll confirm the finish for your particular model, width, location and manufacturing requirements, including any surcharge.
Coordinate with the home rather than chase an exact match
Compare the door with entry doors, decking, brick, render and window frames. A lighter timber tone can provide contrast beside dark cladding; a deeper tone can give a neutral façade a strong focal point. Check the balance from the street as well as close up.
Natural timber, a printed timber-look surface and another building product can have different grain, gloss and weathering. A similar name is not a guarantee of an exact match. See physical samples in the light at your property and use our Door Visualiser to compare the overall design.
Confirm options and care before ordering
Knotwood/Timber-Look window combinations are excluded in current sectional specifications. Insulation, cladding and special track options also need to be checked together. Keep the model’s cleaning and servicing instructions: a timber-look finish is not maintenance-free.
Explore wooden and timber-look finishes and bring your preferred colours, profile and photographs to the measure and quote. We’ll specify the complete door and opener, not just the colour swatch.
