Choosing a garage door for a Hamptons-style home
A Hamptons-style home brings together light colours, considered detail and an easy coastal feel. Your garage door can support that look without becoming an afterthought. We can help you compare the profile, finish and window arrangement with the rest of your façade, then check the equipment and space needed for the door to work well.
Our quote form opens on the main B&D website.

Start with the lines of your home
Look at the shape of the front windows, the entry door, weatherboards or masonry, and the proportions of the garage opening. A garage door with raised panel detail can complement a traditional exterior; a simpler horizontal treatment can suit a more restrained interpretation. Compare our Panelift and Panelift Icon profiles before choosing a colour.
The goal is a combination you like across the whole façade. A profile that looks right in a close-up photograph may feel different across a wide double opening. Use a straight-on photograph of your home to compare the options.
Bring in daylight with the right window combination
Our November 2025 sectional brochure shows Plain and Stockton windows for the Statesman and Grange profiles. These give you different ways to echo the window detailing elsewhere on your home. They are specific profile options; do not assume an insert fits every sectional or roller door.
Talk to us about the window layout, privacy, the view into the garage and whether an existing door can accommodate an approved change. A new panel or window installation can alter the door’s weight and balance, so have a trained technician assess the complete system.
Compare colour and texture in real light
Light neutrals can support the Hamptons look, while a warmer timber-look finish may complement landscaping or timber features. Start with the available finishes for your selected model and profile, rather than choosing from a generic paint chart.
Use our Garage Door Visualiser for the overall impression. Then view physical samples alongside the roof, trim and wall finishes. Screen colours and photographs are a guide; exposure and lighting change how a finish appears. Coastal styling alone does not establish the product’s suitability for salt exposure or wind conditions.
Plan everyday security and operation
Panelift Icon includes AUTO LOCK as part of its specified package. AUTO LOCK is an option for compatible sectional installations, and smartphone control depends on the opener generation, required equipment and connection. Ask us to itemise what is included and what is optional.
Safety Beams and obstruction sensing have different jobs. They support safe operation; keep the opening clear and follow the actual opener manual. A styled façade should still leave room for the tracks, opener and necessary clearances.
